...AT MUBU THIS APRIL!
2018 was a year of reflection and growth for MuBu, both at a personal and professional level. We celebrated our 3rd birthday and allowed ourselves to take some time off, which was wonderful! Slowing down a bit helped us clarify our vision and our goals for our baby MuBu (more like a toddler stage now). From the beginning of this year we have taken action towards turning our vision into reality and here is what's happening at MuBu this coming April:
1/ WE ARE RELOCATING
We adore our Elsternwick showroom and have loved our our last 2 years here (time flies!) but when the opportunity came up for us to locate both our workshop and showroom under ONE roof, we could not resist. It will be another renovation challenge, and a move that is going to happen in 2 stages - we are so excited and we can’t wait to do it all again and open a new showroom & creative space that will be even more us! If you wonder about our location, we won't be far away from our current workshop ;-)
We will be closing our Elsternwick store on the 13th of April and organise a big moving sale in the lead up to it – because everything must go! So stay tuned and drop in to grab a bargain, or 2!
2/ NEW BRAND IDENTITY
Our brand is undergoing a bit of a facelift – and we can’t wait to show you. We have evolved so much over the last 3 years that we felt our brand was no longer the best reflection of who we are as a business and as people. So we are working with one of our favourite people in the industry and will be showing you the new face of MuBu soon, yay!
3/ NEW WEBSITE LAUNCH
Our fresh new look will go hand in hand with a brand new website, which will be a curated collection of MuBu-only furniture. We are now truly and only focusing on our own designs, made locally in our Cheltenham workshop. On our new website you will see new images, a simplified menu, new product additions and it will be a great new user experience all together.
We are so excited about all the changes to come and we hope you are too. We're loving it all and we wouldn't be here without all of you and your continuous support so from the bottom of our hearts, thank you!

And in case you wonder:
- New showroom opening date: we will be rolling up our sleeves starting May and renovate an old warehouse like we did 2 years ago in Elsternwick with our current showroom. We'll keep you updated on our progress on our social media pages and estimated soft opening date as we progress!
- If you wanted to view one of our pieces of furniture after the 13th of April and before the new showroom opens - Just contact us and we’ll organise a viewing for you at our current workshop in Cheltenham.
- What will be on sale at your Moving Sale? The pieces of furniture which we will carry with us to our new showroom will be taken off the showroom floor and replaced with stock items which will be cleared, along with all our homewares (cushions, pots, candles, throws, plates, mugs, prints, you name it! ) Keep an eye on our socials to find out about our SALE dates. Literally everything must go.
