About MuBu Home

Here at MuBu Home we believe that homes should feel like a sanctuary, where you feel as one with everything that surrounds you. We started out in 2015 selecting quality pieces of furniture from Scandinavian designers. We love furniture that is strong, minimal, honest, timeless, functional and fairly priced. Furniture that makes you feel good and at home. In June 2016 we started our very own range of solid timber furniture, which we design and make here in our Melbourne workshop. All our MuBu pieces are made-to-order and come with a certain degree of customisation (choice of timber, fabric, leg design and height etc…) All our upholstery work (sofas, bed heads, upholstered benches, ottomans etc.) is also made in house. Our new showroom is located in Elsternwick 3185, and we think you might fall in love with it so come and pay us a visit!

Who are we?

We are a French-Australian couple living in Melbourne, Australia. MuBu Home was born out of our passion for all things for the home, our love for simply and beautifully crafted furniture and a bit of an obsession for good quality things that don’t cost the earth and resist the test of time. Traveling and living abroad for a few years, we know for sure that there is no place like home and creating that special home feeling is what we are passionate about. Jane Austen said ‘there is nothing like staying home for real comfort’ and we live by this saying.

Quality & Care

At MuBu Home we have a commitment to quality that goes beyond design and furniture. This includes developing great relationships with our customers, suppliers and local partners. We make sure that every single piece of furniture we pick from our suppliers or make here in Melbourne is manufactured with quality at the core of the design process. We work with suppliers that have a passion for quality and pride for their trade. We will not compromise on this aspect and insist on using only high quality timbers, veneers, plywood and fabrics. MuBu Home’s furniture selection is honest and made to make you cherish it for years to come.
