We love the warmth of American White Oak, the richness of Walnut Timber as a dark timber option and the beautiful blonde colour and striking grain of American White Ash, to name a few. When it comes to choosing a wood finish for your mubu furniture, each of our select few options brings its own charm and vibe. Here’s a simple breakdown of the finishes we offer:

Clear Matte Finish

This finish keeps the wood looking as natural as possible. It’s perfect if you’re after a natural look that shows off the natural grain and colour tones of the wood, creating a soft, natural vibe in your space. The finish we use on our products is waterproof and contains a UV protection. 

Smoked Oak Finish 

If you love rich, cosy tones, smoked oak is the way to go. This finish darkens the wood in a way that feels warm and inviting, giving each piece a timeless and sophisticated feel. Smoked Oak is applied on American White Oak timber and can be an alternative to Walnut if the latter is a tad too dark for you. 

Black Stain

We absolutely love the look of a black stain piece of furniture and how it enhances its natural grain features. Black is such a timeless and striking option that elevates a piece of furniture into a class of its own. 

White Wash 

An ever popular option to tone down American White Oak in a very subtle way and give it a lighter, fresher, softer colour tone. Ideal to match some lighter floorboards and to create a truly Scandinavian vibe.
